I had the opportunity to visit Georgia College & State University in March as a part of a SACAC tour. If you are looking for a small college with big school opportunities at a great value, GCSU should be added to your list. GCSU is a public university located in Millidgeville, Georgia. It serves as the state’s public liberal arts university. Georgia State is one of the nation’s leading urban research universities, and the only one in the state. It is internationally recognized as the leader in introducing advanced technology, programs, and initiatives that foster student success. There are just over 6,000 students. In-state tuition is $8,998. OOS tuition sits at $28,178.The student-faculty ratio is 16:1. Additionally, GCSU has the third-highest 4-year graduation rate among all 26 colleges and universities in the University System of Georgia. Another noteworthy item is that GCSU Athletics has the highest academic success rate among all Division II public schools.
