Applying to Florida Poly, a Great Addition to Your College List

A robust academic community awaits you in the quaint city of Lakeland. Meet Florida Polytechnic University. Florida Poly is among the newer gems in the ever-expanding STEM market for students. Ranked #3 in regional colleges in the South and in the top 30 for public engineering programs. It’s both academically rigorous and rich in opportunities for students to grow their interests inside and outside the classroom.

Although Florida Poly is a public state-funded institution, its size provides students with the opportunities and hands-on attention and service provided at a private institution with a much higher price point. Prospective students can select from Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity Engineering. There are also degrees in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, and Environmental Engineering; Graduate programs are offered in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, and Engineering Management. Engineering programs are ABET accredited.

With a student-faculty ratio 16:1, undergraduates work alongside faculty conducting cutting-edge, high-tech research. Florida Poly’s Advanced Mobility Institute (AMI) is poised to be the premier university-affiliated applied research center for developing and testing autonomous vehicle-related technology.
